After i was off for some vacation i found a message in my systems computer when i came back. The Message, send by Paurwaert Assaron, whom i never heard of before, had a content like this:

2009.04.05 16:38

I am in need of your services, Captain Corbulo, for a very special mission.

Please come meet me at Mannar V – Moon 17 – Bank of Luminaire Investment Bank as soon as possible if you’re interested.  This mission is of utmost importance to the Gallente Federation, and would not go unnoticed in the world.

I have uploaded the mission details into your NeoCom journal.

With regards,

Paurwaert Assaron

curious about what the Federation might want me todo i made my way to mannar,  my guesses – after my recent adventures – was that they needed me cause of my experiences with rogue drones – however it turned out they wanted to do a boring courier job, fetching some transaction / salary logs from the nearby starsystem of olide.

Im not sure what to make of this, this is the second time that someone approached me with an “important mission” and it turned out to be boring courier stuff – makes me wonder about what unimportant missions would be.

Captain Corbulo

it has been a few days since i’ve ended my work for the sisters of eve. When i started working for them i thought i was going todo something great for good people – off course i was a bit suspicious about their religious background – i mean we can see where that leads if you have a look at the Amarr Empire and what they have done to our ancestors.

The truth is, the end of the whole story, crossed with my experience with the sleepers has left a few scars on my mind, i have trouble sleeping at night, beeing haunted by dark dreams of sleeper drones which are controlled by the weapon dagan used. I seriously hope he did not give it to the Sisters of Eve.

More and more people are going on expeditions, most have met sleepers, and just a hand full of ’em makes it back in the body they used to get in there. Those who come back sometimes bring advanced technology with them, stuff that gets reverse egineered by coperations all over new eden. Those parts have brought us a new kind of cruisers – their strategic cruisers – and their the first kind of technology that got rated tech level 3. Those strategic cruisers seem to be superior even to advanced cruisers like heavy assault ships, they are better armored, better armed, faster and alot more customizeable to fit their role in a fleet. Maybe this will be the weapon we need to survive the next years.

The Plan was simple – an amarr combat group would clear the path for me, and my objective would be to get in, destroy Dagan’s Ship and deliver him to Lear Evanus.

When i reached Dagans hideout the amarr combat group had taken out most of his escort, most of the survivors where allready fleeing with the amarr ships right behind them.

Dagans ship was a tough cruiser, i never had seen one of those before. It looked a bit like the jovian shuttles you see from time to time, and my computer identified it as arch angel deadspace design.

It appeared to be shield tanked, and my artillery which was slamming one round after another into him did not do as much damage as i was used to. Whenever my crew was reloading the guns he was able to regain large portion of his shields, the fight seemed to be endless.

I was allready cursing cause i had not changed to a bigger ship when i knew this fight was comming when one of my crew members finally had the breaking idea – he had found some EMP S somewhere, and after we switched ammo and engagement distance seemed to work. Not beeing used to EMP S it took me a while to adjust to the right speed and distance, but finnaly i started hitting his structure, and thirty minutes after the fight had started his ship became history.

I scooped his escape pod and brought Dagan then to the commander of the amarr combat group, who then told me the sisters had requested that i should bring him to one of their convoys.

When i reached the convoys location i got a strange transmission by Sister Alitura, asking me to place him in the prison transport and not to take any action no matter what i would see. She also called me friend what raised my suspicions even more.

She then repeated “do not fire”. im not sure what that was all about, but after i transfered Dagan to the Prison Transport she contacted me and told me to return to the amarr commander – she also said that my actions show that there might be a future for “my kind”, whatever that means.

She and her Sisters of Eve are feeling more creepy the more i know of them.

I returned to Lear Evans to debrief, he gave me a short speech about how i  have proven myself a usefull capsuleer and an ally to the amarr people and her Empress Sarum.

After all of this i think i am going to head to my home in groothese now, with a few questions left open, and about  4075 rounds of ammo less then when i started this journey.

The Sisters of Eve finally got coordinates with the whereabouts of Dagan. According to their intel he has a bit of muscle arround him so i might need some support.

According to Sister Alitura all 4 Empires have offered help with this, and it is my decision to decide with who im going – including the risk of them getting their hands on Dagans knowledge.

Personally i only see 3 choice, i can rule out Gallente because of two reasons: they are known for there extensive usage of drones, which might be a problem when fighting Dagan, also they where the only empire not to offer me the help directly but only through the Sisters of Eve, who aren’t as trustworthy as i thought they where when i started with journey.

This leaves Amarr, Caldari and Minmatar.

Caldari are known for having quite advanced shield and missile technics, they are also know for their cold temper and their capitalistic ways. I seriously don’t want Dagans knowledge to fall in their Hands.

Which leaves me with the Choice of my Minmatar brethren, or the amarr empire.

Alot of my brethren will hate me for the choice i make, but i will reach out to the amarr empire with my hand and hope they dont cut it off. The Minmatar Republic has recently been quite unstable, i dont know what the elders are up to and i dont want them to get their hand on technology that could be used to slay even more of their own people – or worse – sold.

The Amarr however allready posess this technology, Dagan took it from their archives, which means i dont need to be afraid of them learning some new ways of oppressing our people – also the liberations done recently show that the amarr empire is on its way in a new future.

I had to make some Changes to my Crew – not all of them where happy with my choice, and some might evene have tried to take influence on the things to come, i could not let that happen.

In about 5 minutes my ship will leave this station and meet up with Lear Evanus Apocalypse in Manarq.

Kritsan Parthus, the “independed operative” was flying a prophecy class battlecruiser when i found him. By his reaction i could tell he was not realy a experienced combat pilot, i managed to shoot down his escort quite fast and didnt take any chances with his ship. i went to an orbit which was out of range of his pulse lasers and started pounding his shields and armor with my artillery.

Since my Assault Ship is a few classes smaller than such a battle cruiser it took me a while to break his tank, but once i he started taking structural damage i knew it would be over soon.

The moment i brought Krritsan Parthus on board i received another transmission, this time by the amarr navy. They informed me that i just “kidnapped” an amarr citizen but that they would overlook that for the sake of my mission. They also told me once i would give them the location of Dagan they would help me to bring down the hammer on them.

I guess their empire has the most reasons to be after dagan, also they will know more about the sort of weapon he stole from them, so them helping with this problem might be an interesting option – even though im not a big fan of their empire myself.

I found the Society cruiser and his escort near what appeared to be an ancient wreck of a ship that looking at the size must have been a supercapital classed one.

It did not take long to add 9 very fresh and brand new smaller wrecks to the ghosty scene.

Just as i blew up the last ship i received a transmission by some caldari state official by the name of Adani Yusev. He let me know that the ishukone watch, sort of a caldari intelligence agency, was monitoring my communications with the Sisters of Eve, and that the Caldari State would have my back if i catch Dagan and hand it to them.

When i arrived back at the station sister alitura told me i had no time to lose and sent me out to retrieve what she called an “independed operator”, so amarr guy who had delivered drone parts to dagan recently.

I start wondering why everyone seems to be interested in telling me they’d have my back, and why everyone seems to be so interested in getting his hand on that terrorist.

In the morning i spoke to Sister Alitura. She did make some remarks about whats going to happen to the real Tahaki Karin, and also gave me the mission to get the operative faking her to his destination. So i headed out for a rendevous with a society transport.

I knew what i was doing was the right thing todo, but i was still upset by how Sister Alitura and her gang where handling me.

After i dropped the operative at a luxury spaceliner i got a transmission by a sebistior woman named Kitar Ang – while i never heard of her before she told me that she knows im after Dagan and that the [Minmatar] Republic would have my back.

When i came back to the Sisters of Eve Station the operative had allready started transmitting data.

As it seems that “fast results” the operative was delivering allready brought her close to being discovered, the society of conscious thought had dispatched a cruiser named omnipresence which was fit for electronic surveilance. As it seemed that cruiser had abilities that would allow him to pickup and decipher the sisters transmissions, meaning the data it could collect would endanger our whole operation.

My crew allready started refitting the Suprise Bean so we can start searching for that cruiser any moment.
