It has been a few days since i came home – still i cant get the memories of those Drones out of my head.
when i came back i did read reports about ’em, all over new eden there are wormholes, and each of ’em is
attracting people like me, capsuleers seeking for isk, fun or just being curious are doing their very own expeditions
to whats called “w-space” now. Most of them who return (and not all do) have encountered those drones,
sleepers as they are called.

Going through the reports it looks like my crew was lucky, we run into a system with pretty week infestation,
others have been reporting sleeper drones in battleship sizes which are able to tear appart whole carriers.

I was able to sell the loot i got to some scientific corporation. They did not pay very well, but i seriously
hope they will be able to forge some weapons from it.
Those sleepers are a serious thread – not only for those who seek adventure in those wormholes.
Imagine what happens when they find out about the wormholes,
imagine what they can do to all of us then.
I do not know if we are ready to face this thread with the 4 empires of man still fighting
their ridiculous wars against eachother.

For my part, i will work on getting better weapons,
i will prepare myself,
i will be on more expeditions in those systems
to learn how we can win this.

Ship: “Stabber”, Vagabond Class Heavy Assault Ship
Location: Ruvas

When i woke up this morning my scanner was full of ships.. ships like used in the empires, none of those drones
shortly after i hit my scanner someone named Jinx Vixen started broadcasting on local channels,
after a short conversation on direct comms he agreed on helping me out of there,
he had found a wormhole to/from Ruvas.
I promised him 10mil, then he dropped me his bookmark on a planet.
Offcourse i paid, before i even opened this log entry. And beeing as
Happy as i am about getting out i decided to double the isk.
Now sails are set home to groothese – i cannot wait to rest in a bed
instead of the capsule, and to put ffs more ammo in my cargo hold…

The Night was awfully silent – since the last encounter i havent seen any drones on my scanner – nor anything else.

My Crew is comming up with quite some ridicullous plans on how i should get the ship out of here,
one of the technichians on board suggested to fiddle with our warp drive – he said he would like to try to
burn down the ships reactor in order to create enough energy
to convert our warp drive to a one-time-only jump drive..
I made sure he got thrown out of the airlock to ensure he does not try to make that happen.
No one knows where such “jump” could end, and without the warp drive that would be the final destination – forever.

Not much happened during this day, after the last log entry there where no encounters for quite some time – just till about half an hour ago,
again i run in a patrol of those drones and was able to fend them off, on the price of another few rounds of my precious ammo.
right now there are about 3.7k navy em left in the cargo, barage is all gone.

during the day i entered in a mail exchange with some concord oficials – while they seem to be able to help out they keep refusing my
requests, allways pointing out the risk i took by ignoring their travel ban…

I was able to fight those drones off – it got a bit hairy as they got reinforcements during the fights, and for the first time since i stranded here damage bleeded through my shields, so the armor of my vagabond has a few scratches now, but nothing serious.
More serious – after this fight my Barrage M reserves are down to 36 shots in each gun and 4 shots in my cargo.
this is getting ugly fast.

That was hell of a night. While i was asleep two of my crew members comitted suicide – i never got why mortals would do that, i mean, they have no clones, right? In the morning the ships scanner picked up a patrol of those damn drones nearby – i decided to take my chances and kill them, maybe it scares them away if we just kill enough.. and i hope that happens before my cargo runs out of ammo…

i wish i had some anchorable container with me, i could at least leave some messages at planets, hoping someone would find those buoys..

What a day, first there was the Seyllin incident (http://www.eveonline.com/apocryphabreakingnews/), then out of nowhere those wormholes pop up all over New Eden, and before you can even think of taking a peek through one of ’em CONCORD calls a travel ban on them.

Maybe we should have respected that ban, but well it seems to be human nature to be curious, and to be even more curious if its forbidden.

A few hours after the ban was called a few friends of mine and me mounted a small expedition force. The Plan was quite simple: check out the other side of a Wormhole in the close by Angatallie System and see if we can make some profit of it. CONCORDs ban did not really bother us pretty much because as usual we operate on both sides of the law, and because well, lets say CONCORDs presence in Angatallie aint that strong anyways.
Things turned bad for us right from the start. When i arrived with one of my other Ships it became obvious that a Maelstrom wouldn’t fit through the smallish Wormhole, so i turned back to Groothese, changing to the “Stabber”.
While my Crew was filling the cargohold with tons of ammo (you can never have too much of it if you don’t know what to expect) Matthew, who jumped ahead, called us through FTL communications reporting (possibly Hostile) ships in the foreign system.
While i made my way back to angatallie at best speed i passed our probing ship,
whose pilot had decided to get one additional combat probe launcher, just for the case.

A few minutes later i was entering the wormhole, trying to get to matthew who was talking about a new breed of rogue drones on FTL Comms. As it seems he stumbled into pretty bad hitting tough bastards, so i knew he could use any help he could get.
After arriving at the battlegrounds i had to realize that those new drones where indeed a bit tougher then other rogue drones that we encountered before. With the firepower of both of our ships combined we finally managed to bring down about 12 drones which compare to frigate, 3 drones that compare to cruiser size and two floating guns which compare best to sentries.
We where able to salvage quite interesting looking loot, and followed the FTL chatter. The rest of the fleet was pretty much waiting for one person who took ages to come. Matthew and i decided to crash another site of those drones that we found on our ships scanners, and while we where fighting again the rest of the fleet found that the wormhole we used to enter had collapsed.
Matthew went to check if our side was still open but had to come back empty handed.
I did not want to give up my ship, or the lives of my crew, so i decided i’d go and search for a way out – while Matthew decided to take the easy way out and self destructed. He then asked me to shoot his Pod, and after that me and my crew are pretty much stranded alone here.
While searching for a way out i have run into 3 more places full of those drones, and i seriously wonder how many are out there.
Anyways, the crew is pretty tired from fighting them for several hours, so i found us a spot which is hopefully safe for the night.

Currently i have enough food for a a while loaded, the ship is in pretty good shape (even for minmatar standards) – but i am seriously concerned of my ammo reserves. While half of the cargo is full, with loot from those drones, the other half is not fully filled with ammo anymore. Right now i have about 2k of Barrage M and 5k of Navy EMP left – after that there are only my 5 warriors.

Either way, i hope we will survive this night out here, and then find a way back tomorrow.

Captain Corbulo
